Meister Eckhart, a fifteenth century teacher-preacher, focused most of his sermons on the value and the necessity for Faith.
“Wisdom consists in doing the next thing you have to do, doing it with your whole heart, and finding delight in doing it.” Meister Eckhart
Faith without works is dead. James 2:14
Faith can be demonstrated by choosing in a non-judgmental way, to do the next thing. The next thing, whatever it is to be, however near it is, it is still in the future. The future is the domain of All Truth. To claim the NEXT RIGHT THING is an exercise in self-delusion.
Those who believe that our lives are truly in God’s hands need only to do THE NEXT THING; the rightness of such an act lies in the future.
